Job Description: 
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the day-to-day operation of production machinery and auxiliary equipment by monitoring equipment performance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, completing repairs, and performing preventive maintenance. This position uses wiring schematics, electrical drawings, gauges, meters, and computer programming to diagnose problems and restore machinery to operating condition. Additional responsibilities include repairing pumps, valves, sensors, hydraulic components, and injection molding equipment; wiring and labeling controllers; changing dies; completing work orders; documenting repairs and equipment issues; supporting PLC and programming work; performing building maintenance; and communicating equipment status with the Maintenance Manager, production employees, and outside vendors.

 

Requirements

Requirements: 
Candidates should have an associate degree or certification in electrical, mechanical, automation, programming, or robotics, along with at least five years of hands-on industrial machinery maintenance experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Applicants must be able to read and interpret electrical drawings, OEM manuals, wiring schematics, and technical instructions and should have knowledge of plastics machinery, auxiliary equipment, hydraulics, lubricants, sensors, pumps, valves, and electrical controls. Strong troubleshooting, critical-thinking, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills are required. Candidates must be able to work independently, respond quickly to time-sensitive equipment breakdowns, use Microsoft Office and ERP systems, and communicate fluently in English. The role also requires the ability to stand and walk for most of the shift, bend, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 70 pounds.
